Shopping with Mommy Morgan
You want to stay home today, but I drag you to the mall. You are complaining about being bored. You repeatedly ask, “Are we done yet?”
My answer is always the same, “just one more store.” The stores are crowded and noisy. You complain about missing the big game. I am standing at the jewelry counter at Macy’s looking at earrings. I keep asking for your opinion, but you just roll your eyes at me and ignore my question. I finally decide on a pair and pay for them.
I remember that I need some new bras. I told him one more thing and that we need to go upstairs.
You just roll your eyes again. Silently, you follow me up the escalator and to the back of the store. You are so embarrassed. You are standing in the lingerie department at Macy’s. So humiliating!
It takes what seems like forever for me to find the matching panties to the bras I selected. I found five new matching bras and panties, all lacy and pretty. I give you a kiss on the forehead and ask for you to be patient just a little longer.
You are standing there in the middle of Macy’s lingerie department, holding all of my shopping bags. Time stands stills and the minutes seem like hours. This is more boring than English class to you. Then a group of cheerleaders are walking towards the juniors section. You don’t want them to see you.
You slip into the dressing room in search of Mommy. You call out to her. I open the door and invite you inside the dressing room. I am wearing a new a hot pink and black bra and panties. “How do I look?”
You really like how your Mommy looks. You answer with a smile. I lean down, grab your chin and give you a long kiss. You put your hand on Mommy’s back. Mommy is all warm and her skin is so soft. Mommy looks so beautiful.
